Spiritual Gifts

My top three spiritual gifts that I found out from the spiritual gifts test are G, L and N, or faith, mercy and shepherding. Faith means to me following and listening to God no matter what the situation may be, or how long you have to wait for something. Its trusting God in EVERY situation and even when you are unsure about what he is asking you to do, you do it without question. Mercy for me is helping anyone and everyone in need of help even it is doesn't seem like they deserve it. Mercy is talking with someone and trying to understand the way they are feeling, and helping them through tough times in their lives. Shepherding is helping others find their way to Christ and providing them with support and help whenever and however long they need it. These three things mean a lot to me and I am so thankful that God has given me these gifts.

Mrs. Gunther Day 6

Today we worked on fishing our SDS booklets. Then we researched the jobs we came up with with a website she gave us. I was able to finish my SDS booklet and found out that my code is SAR. The few jobs I came up with were a few different kinds of cooks, still photographer and another job but I can't remember the name of it. I did not have time to research my jobs with the website so I will do that at home. I don't know if the jobs I found out from the booklet are the right jobs for me though. I feel like God has something else planned out.

Today in class we looked at a power point and talked about the different ways people learn best. We then worked on the SDS booklets. What am I supposed to do if I don't know the jobs I am curious about? or I don't know what they're called? Next class is our last class with Mrs. Gunther and we are going to finish up our SDS booklets and maybe some other things.

Today we did personality tests. We also worked on the SDS. I finished the personality tests and found out that I am a Kenesthetic learner. I was able to learn more about myself and what I'm like. Next class I am going to work more on my SDS test because I was only able to write my name on the booklet.

Today in class we were each given a list of things that are found in careers. I then had to cut them out and paste them on a piece of colored paper in the order that was most important to me. The first two on my list were "helping others" and "influencing others." These two things are very important to me. For me I feel like these should be two of my main goals in life.

Talent: What each and every person is good at and has been given in a different form. It could be being able to listen to and understand the way people are feeling to being really good at basketball.

I think I have a number of talents that God has given me. Some of them being I am able to listen to, comfort  and mediate others, good with children, confident, can play sports, and am self controlled and motivated.

Mrs. Gunther Day 1 Questions

1) How do you plan on choosing a career?
I am going to do what I feel would be best for me. I'm going to ask my parents, grandparents and friends for help. I can also receive help through God and the Bible. I will choose a career that I will enjoy.
2) Does your gender matter? 
Yes, gender can matter sometimes. If you are a woman and are planning to have a family someday, you may choose a career that you can have a flexible schedule or only work a few times a week. If you plan to have a family and are a man, then it may not matter to you as much. You may still want a job that doesn't have late/early hours so you can spend time with your family.
3) Who will help you chose a career?
My friends, family, teachers, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and God.
4) Can the Bible offer any help?
Yes, the Bible offers lots of guidance and support. It helps you know what to do and how to do it. The Bible tells you what is right and wrong and gives really good advice.
